Make sure NFC is enabled and your phone case isn't too thick — thick cases, especially ones with metal or a magnet closure, can block the scan. Hold the tag near the top-back of the phone, just above the camera, and hold steady for a second.
Check Schedule to confirm the window and repeat days are set the way you expect. If two Schedules overlap, the one whose window started most recently takes priority until it ends — that's expected behavior, not a bug.
Go to Settings and unlink the lost tag, then link a replacement. If Strict Mode was on for an active session, you'll need to finish that session first — see the next question.
When enabled for a session, ending that session early requires re-scanning the exact tag used to start it — a second tag won't work, even if it's linked to your account elsewhere.
Open Manage Modes from the home screen. Modes can be edited or removed at any time, except while they're actively locked.
Matcha is iPhone-only right now — it relies on Apple's Screen Time APIs and CoreNFC, which aren't available on other platforms.
Everything Matcha stores lives on your device, not in the cloud. Deleting the app removes it all. If you'd like confirmation or have a specific concern, email us at the address above.
